EXHIBITION
Andrew Fisher – Winter
November 30, 2016, to January 28, 2017

Andrew Fisher earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Sculpture, Drawing and Metal Arts from the California College of the Arts. During his years at CCA, Fisher was a three-time winner of the Merit Scholarship. Following graduation he worked with John G. Hallock Interiors in San Francisco, where he remained and became a partner during the following twenty years. Simultaneously Mr. Fisher developed a strong and successful studio practice focused on painting, sculpture and the design and crafting of fantasy furniture and light fixtures. During these years Mr. Fisher collaborated with Tony Duquette on numerous interiors, installations, and objects.

Merging forces with Jeffry Weisman in 2000, the designers established Fisher Weisman to create distinctively luxurious and innovative interiors as well as furniture and lighting designs. The New York Times Sunday Magazine described the firm’s work as “drop dead, big city chic.” Elle Décor includes Fisher Weisman in its “A-List” of the world’s top designers. The firm’s work has been broadly published in magazines, newspapers, blogs and books internationally. The Monacelli Press published the firm’s first monograph, Artful Decoration, in March of 2013.

Fisher has exhibited consistently in his studios in San Francisco and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and was included in the Frieze show in London by Toomey Tourell Gallery of San Francisco in 2013. He recently completed a commission of 22 of his large gilded tapestries for the Wynn Hotel in Cotai, China and is creating a range of commissions for collectors in the U.S. and Mexico.
